BUSHEY WELCOMES STUDENTS AS FALL SEMESTER BEGINS ON NEW CAMPUS It is indeed a privilege and a pleasure to welcome students and faculty to our campus at the be ginning of an academic year which promises to be one of the great est in the history of the college. Our dream of a campus m Miss Anne Kerr Brown, who has been Secretary of Asheville-Bilt more College since September 1948, has been appointed to the position of Registrar. A graduate of Asheville-Bilt more, Miss Brown received her B. S. in Secretarial Administration from Queens College, Charlotte, N. C. Mr, S. R. McGuire was named Business Manager, keeping with the dignity of our work has been realized. We now occupy a campus which for scenic beauty, architecture, and land scaping is probably unsurpassed in America. All of us must co operate in maintaining and en hancing the attractiveness of our college community. In our zeal to secure a beauti ful new home for the college, we did not neglect academic stand ards. Course offerings have been increased and enriched. A three year curriculum in medical tech nology, a curriculum in drafting, and a two-year curriculum for medical secretaries have been es tablished. The curricula in radio technique and in general business have been strengthened. For the first time in years, the college is offering courses in music. The teaching staff has been strength ened by the addition of individ uals outstanding in their respect ive fields. Recently, a representative of one of the greatest universities of the South paid high tribute to the quality of academic work done at Asheville-Biltmore College. It is possible for every student on our campus to receive sound edu cational training. It is the purpose of this college to assist in the well-rounded de velopment of the individual.
